{Pictures} Year in Review *Part 2*

Right were I left off...

September:
It's pretty easy to sum up...volleyball and football!

October:
Ditto to September.

November:
There was some more volleyball in November, but I don't have pictures of that. So we'll settle for Kota in his "warrior" outfit, and our yearly cousin picture :)

And finally, December:
December came with a new puppy, a new haircut (I took a picture before I got it cut, 'cause I'm a little bit sentimental), and one more family picture (a goofy one)! :)

{Pictures} Year in Review *Part 1*

Guys, I had a really fun new year's eve. Last year, I didn't do anything except fall asleep at 9, so this year was doubly fun. I hope everyone else had a really fun new year's eve, too.

Why fun? Well, there was marshmallow contests. As in "how-many-can-you-fit-in-your-mouth". I was about banished from the room because I was laughing so hard. Apparently people who have 10+  marshmallows in their mouths don't want to laugh. I just couldn't help it. I mean, the faces they made. It looks like this:
oh nuts

There was also snertz, one of my top two favorite games. It's always good for some laughter.

Then there was spoons, my other top favorite game. I got teased the whole time for no reason that I can see except I caused bloodshed. Apparently that's a big deal (dunno why. I ended up with the knife.). We were playing with plastic knives, so it can't see why it was my fault...?!

Anyway, 'nough bout that. This post is my year in review via pictures...and a few words :)

January!!
I was doing a lot of running last January and ended up with this horrible blister. Not so fun, let me tell ya'!

February:
Apparently, nothing happened in February, 'cause the only thing in the archives is this video of our cat watching the cursor. But it's rather cute, so I'll share anyways:

 March:
Kinda usual. These are some of my favorite pictures from the files :)

April:
So, I like raisins. In April, I took this picture of the raisins my parents brought me after they went shopping. :)

May:
In May, we did graduation. That's it. All things graduation, everyday, all the time.
June:
I spent my last night home before going off to Alaska for a month driving 'round gravel roads with my brother taking pictures of wheat. And roads, and barns. Cool stuff like that :)

July:
Hello one of my favorite places. :) Cool, mountain-y. I wish I could enjoy it more while I was there, but I suffer from home sickness, which takes some of the fun away.
Little adorable child without pants because we didn't want him to get them wet.

I LIVED here. Yes, it is wonderful. Seriously, I looked out at those mountains every morning.

August:
I was welcomed home by some ador-able kittens, and volleyball. It was a good welcome!

 That was one of Sam's school pictures.

Anna and Mary at pre-season, Jack and Tyler acting as photobombs :)

I also got to do my cousins senior pictures. Lots of goofing off, it was great!

As to not overload computers, September will be continued in part two! :)

{Pictures} From the Archives

I've already technically posted on my blog this week. But I decided to do it again, cause I published it on Tuesday morning. So, I'm posting again to clarify that I did, indeed post on my blog this week.

That was a random and unnecessary explanation. :)

I'm sure you're dying with curiosity wondering what I'm going to post about. :) I did this "old pictures" post not too long ago. It was so much fun. I love, love looking through old pictures and digging them out of the archives. So, I'm doing that again. But I'm starting with a prompt! The more strange pictures from the archives of the Marteney computer. Enjoy!

 Uhh. Can we say, embarrassing? Yes, I'm wearing overalls. I've never had any sense of fashion. Anyhow, moving past my wardrobe choices. Why do we all have clips on our mouths? I think my mom decided it was more pleasant that way. Can't blame her really.
 You can't tell very well but that is, indeed a pig in our house. It was one of the years Tyler raised pigs, and this one was sick. When you have sick animals, you bring them inside. It was not cool. It was not fun. It did not smell good. Oh my goodness, it did not smell good. But the pig lived, and tasted very good.
 *Dies* Is that not one of the cutest things you've ever seen? That's Kota's highly efficient way of drying the floor. He was about four, but I bet he'd still do it now! :)
 A hummingbird. My dad holding a hummingbird. He just, you know reached out and snagged it out of the air with his superhero reflexes. So, maybe not. It's really a better story. Hummingbirds kept conking into our window and this one apparently knocked itself silly. It did eventually fly away. In conclusion, that's a hummingbird with a brain injury.
 Lego art. Sometimes my family can be a little embarrassing in public places. I wasn't actually with them on this trip, so I was spared the mortification.
 Yes, they did this posing several times.
 That's our two-headed cat! It's actually O'Malley 1 and 2. The original O'Malley's as kittens. They were quite cute, and fell asleep like this one day. But two-headed cat is a better story.

Have I mentioned how much I love pictures? These strange ones are especially fun and bring back the best memories. Or the weirdest. Or whatever. It's fun, that's the point :)

{Pictures} March Photo-A-Day *Part 1*

Have you guys ever seen those "photo-a-day" challenges? Basically, it's like a writing prompt, but you "answer" by taking a picture. How fun, right? I thought one would be a great way for me to get my camera out, it's been suffering from disuse :) This is a March "photo-a-day" challenge. (I'll do two parts, so hopefully no one's computer goes haywire from picture overload :)

(March 1) "Up" {All our winter clothes hanging up}

(March 2) "Fruit"

(March 3) "Your Neighborhood"
(March 4) "Bedside"

(March 5) "A Smile"  {I'm not sure this counts as a smile. BUT, when I said "smile!", this is what I got. Beggars can't be choosers.}
(March 6) "5 PM" {This was what 5PM looked like for me :) Cleaning up a mess in the kitchen, sun sinking slowly}

(March 7) "Something You Wore" {I wore some old, battered tennis shoes on a walk}

(March 8) "Window" {This was a small window of time as a little strip of fog rolled through. It was gorgeous}

(March 8) "Window" {Which gets two pictures, because I found two interpretations of "window"}

(March 9) "Red" {A small red envelope from the little Alaskan cousin}
(March 10) "Loud" {The wind- howling. Loud. I'll admit, I took this a day late.}

(March 11) "Someone You Talked To" {This was class day, I talked to a lot of people. But I didn't ask anyone if I could get their picture :) Just don't think I'm an un-socialized home-schooler who only talks to her goats!}
(March 12) "Fork"
(March 13) "A Sign" {A sign of spring}
*MARCH 14 HAS NO PICTURE. THE PROMPT WAS "Cloud", BUT THERE WAS NO CLOUDS*
(March 15) "Car" {Our car full of vegetables from bountiful baskets day :)

{Ditto}
