My name is Bethany Marteney. I am a homeschooled highschooler (I have no idea what grade I'm in) going about life in Kansas. I live in an OLD (the NEWER part of our house was built in 1890) white farm house in the country . I have two dogs, four goats, and four siblings :) Essentially, this blog was started for a school assignment, and I think it will be an assignment I really enjoy! After tennis shoes, I wear rubber boots most of all. And lemonade pie? That is what I always have on my birthday :) That blog name leaves me lots of room to be random with my posts!
To go along with the title (Do any of you know the reference? If you don't , it's from this, my FAVORITE movie when I was younger. I watched it ALL the time, until I wore it out!) here's a few MORE of my favorite things:

Baking (You will be hearing about baking success' and flops :)
Running shoes (I'm NOT a fast runner, but I do enjoy jogging)
Athletic shorts/sweatpants
My mom's trail mix (I don't know how she does it, but it's perfect ever. single. time.)
Carrots
Cousins (I'm one of 13 grandkids on my mom's side of the family. I'm the oldest girl)
Mountains ("home" is the plains for me, but I can never get tired of looking at mountains)
Looking at old pictures
"Pinteresting" (WAY too much)
Reading
Listening to audiobooks
Playing Scrabble/Words with Friends (I'm trying to beat my dad. It hasn't happened yet)
Baby goats ("kids". They are so cute and fun!)
LIFE cereal
Fresh fruit
Smoothies
Hiding vegetables in baked goods (*evil snickering*)
Braiding hair
Talking with friends
Playing volleyball (I play for the local homeschool group)
Snow (remember the "loving winter"? This is one of the reasons!)
You will definitely hear more about these things and why I like them! They will probably show up in this blog often :)

Oh my gosh! we have soooo much in common. I'm homeschooled, live in Kansas, have a blog that is a school project, I have goats (only two though), I love to bake, I like the cereal life and also vanilla chex ( man that cereal is so good). Also reading, smoothies, little kids and babies (they are soooo cute), playing board games, movie night (usually Friday night or Saturday night) playing volleyball. I was on a volleyball team and we lost EVERY game. I played with public schoolers wish I could find a homeschool group I could play with. Well we have a lot of things in common but I don't like carrots and I have never tried apple cider before. I like snow and hope we get a lot this year and I like every season I can't find a favorite one sooo they are all my favorite. Well I took up a lot of space with this comment. ReplyDeleteWell I played at the YMCA ( past tense ). We only played one team and we lost to them every time. If I correct you live in Manhattan and I don't so we would not overlap teams. Boo-hoo. wish we did though. How did you Mary Frances and Chloe Salts meet. I used to go to a homeschool group but it did not work out. Wish I could meet all you homschoolers down by manhattan. I used to live there and please check out my blog. How did you get that prove your not a robot thing on your blog? Sometimes I cant tell what it says but it is soo cool to have and a good thing to.
